Hi, I’m Maisie - your friendly social media wingwoman
In a nutshell…
I grew up in the south of England until I was 11, when my mum made the brave (and slightly wild) decision to move us to rural France. I landed straight into French secondary school, didn’t speak a word of the language, and was absolutely terrified.
Fast forward one whirlwind year later — I was fluent, I’d made friends (some I still call my besties 14+ years on), and honestly? Moving abroad at that age turned out to be one of the best things that’s ever happened to me.
A few years later, I was doing the International Baccalaureate (yes, it was just as chaotic as they say) and I started craving a bit of contrast from quiet village life. I packed my bags and moved back to the UK to study History at Newcastle University — big city, big coat, big change. But then… COVID hit.
With the borders closing and Zoom taking over the world, I headed back to France and finished my degree from my childhood bedroom with a pile of online books and a questionable Wi-Fi signal. Somehow, I managed to write my dissertation and graduate!
Then came the panicky “what now?” phase. I landed a job in Intellectual Property in Newcastle, which sounded fancy — but after a couple of years, I realised the corporate 9–5 life just didn’t feel like me. I missed fresh air, slow mornings, and being somewhere that felt like home.
So, I moved back to France (again) and tried working at a local estate agency. But pretty quickly, I realised that sales scripts and endless admin weren’t it either.
Which leads me here: the moment I decided to do something properly scary...
Start my own business.
And as terrifying as that leap was, it’s also been incredibly rewarding.
Why I do what I do (and who I do it for)
I’d always done what I thought I should do — the safe jobs, the logical steps, the paths that looked good on paper. But all that “should-ing” left me feeling bored, confused, and totally disconnected from what I actually wanted.
So when I left the estate agency, I paused. I asked myself: What do I really want?
I knew I wanted to help people.
I knew I loved content and had real experience managing social media.
I knew I wanted to work with passionate small business owners doing brilliant things.
So I invested in an accredited community manager course, backed myself — and went for it.
Now, I help small businesses feel confident, calm, and clear about how they show up online. No fluff. No overwhelm. Just practical, friendly support that meets you where you're at.
Because I believe in:
💛 Simplicity – strategy doesn’t need to be overcomplicated
💛 Authenticity – you don’t need to pretend to be someone else
💛 Connection – because you’re a human, not just a brand
💛 Confidence – you deserve to feel proud of your content
💛 Support – because you don’t have to do it all alone
If you're tired of second-guessing every post and just want socials to feel lighter — I'm here.
A few fun facts about me…
I have lived in France for 14 years 🇫🇷 (but am still partial to a proper cuppa).
I am a real animal lover and often talk about them in my content (especially Billy the shetland).
My perfect evening consists of a cup of tea, crochet and a good spooky film.
I am a real history buff - I love exploring castles!
I have a phobia of touching ice cubes. I hate it when they are dry and stick to you and just…blurgh!
My favourite flavour ice cream is mint choc chip (ever since I was about 8)!
I believe in helping small businesses find their own unique way to shine on social media…
...without the overwhelm, confusion, or cookie-cutter advice.
If you’re ready to take control of your socials but want a friendly guide by your side, I’d love to connect.
